I was contacted by fellow photographer, neighbor and friend Anna Wu to participate in her Art for Art project. It’s a personal project that Anna does monthly with other photographers. It’s an exchange between artist to photograph each other. I can see how educational and interesting it would be to see how other photographers work. So of course I was thrilled to participate. Here are the photos of Anna that I shot here at my studio. It’s been awhile since I’ve used my studio setup so this gave me a chance to dust off the studio strobes, switch gears and do something different. I love the photos that Anna captured of me. I know everyone says they don’t like photos of themselves but I REALLY don’t like photos of myself because when I smile, my face usually looks all scrunchy. Anna had her work cut out for her and she did a fabulous job making me look relaxed and normal. My job photographing her was definitely easier then her photographing me. Haha! What can I say about this wonderful couple, Wendy and Erwin. It was an exciting and awesome year leading up to their wedding filming the girls bachelorette party in Cancun as well as the guys bachelor party in Vegas. It’s been such an honor to be a part of their pre wedding activities and getting to know Wendy and Erwin as a couple. Wendy has the utmost exquisite taste so it was a no-brainer that Jubilee Lau Events was hired to create a magical wedding for them. Check out their wedding film below to relieve their heartfelt vows to each other. And make sure to watch past the credits for a little bonus clip. Photo courtesy of Augie Chang. Congrats to Kathleen & Terence on their one year anniversary! Hopefully these wedding photos and film will help bring back all the fun and emotions of the big day! It was such a privilege and an honor for my team to be there to document and share in the celebration! Make sure to watch the movie pass the credits to see how the bride surprised the groom on the wedding day. It was quite a treat and a very memorable moment! Earlier this year I had the pleasure of filming a three day floral workshop with Holly Chapple Flowers. Holly, a DC based floral and event designer, decided to bring her workshop out to California and asked Nancy Liu Chin to be a guest speaker along with other renowned speakers from around the world. Having spent three days with Holly and her attendees, I really got to observe how talented and passionate she is about teaching her craft. There were approximately 50 attendees and Holly acted like mother hen to all of them. It was amazing to see her teach, nurture and love all of her students equally. It was a true sisterhood bonding experience!
