Every year I look forward to the annual Bouquets to Arts at the De Young Museum. If you have never attended this spectacular event, you are missing out on one of San Francisco’s quintessential events. Each year, the Bay Area’s top floral designers are invited to pick a piece of art in the museum and interpret the piece with flowers. Some of the creations are literal interpretations, some are abstract, some make me smile and some just want me to scratch my head. In either case, the creations are all intriguing and inspiring. My favorite piece this year has to be photo #16, the floral arrangement on the library books which was created by Nancy Liu Chin. In fact, she creates my favorite piece every year!
