Julie + Chris Surprise Proposal | Calistoga Ranch | Napa Valley

A call came in from good friend and fellow photographer, Michelle Walker who referred me to shoot and film this cute couple who were coming from Texas for a surprise proposal. Kudos to Chris for planning all of this with the help of the good folks at Calistoga Ranch. Nicole, the operations manager at Calistoga Ranch worked seamlessly with Chris to keep this proposal a surprise for his girlfriend Julie. I was thrilled to be apart of this exciting and incredibly romantic proposal. Make sure to watch the video to see what her answer was!

From a logistical point of view, I traveled up to Calistoga Ranch not knowing exactly where the proposal would take place and wondered how the heck was I going to film this without them seeing me or my cameras. Luckily I was able to hide two cameras at opposite ends of the room behind some trees and bushes and had them on remote. I turned on the cameras before they entered and snuck away and kept my fingers crossed. I love all the excitement and nervousness that was captured. I felt very privileged to be apart of this very special moment for them. Congratulations to Julie and Chris!

Wendy’s Bachelorette Party | Cancun

I never take my job for grated and with great clients like Wendy & Ewin, I am reminded how blessed I am to work with such amazing people! Wendy hired me to come to Cancun with 11 of her girlfriends to film their bachelorette weekend. Together with good friend and fellow photographer Augie Chang and the wifey Nancy, we spent the day documenting their catamaran boat ride from Cancun to Isla Mujeres. We had amazing seafood lunch on the island followed by a photo session with Augie and a video interview session with me. I interviewed just the girls without Wendy so everything will be a surprise to our bride Wendy when I premiere the video at their wedding reception in July. Nancy and I stayed in Mexico for the rest of the week for a little vacation with included some zip lining, repelling, and snorkeling in underground caves. Thanks again Wendy for inviting us to share and document your amazing weekend!

Alpha Omega Winery Engagement | Griselda + Chris

In honor of Griselda and Chris’s wedding this weekend, I wanted to share their lovely engagement session that I photographed a few months ago at the Alpha Omega Winery with them. This was the perfect setting for Griselda and Chris as they are regulars here and enjoy good food and wine. Griselda and Chris are members of the winery and invited me for a little tasting after our shoot. I must say the Cab I tasted was delightful and I got to take home a bottle of the 2008 Cab with me compliments of my generous couple. A great day of shooting with a fun couple and some fine wine… I am reminded again of why I love my job! Congratulations to Griselda and Chris! I look forward to celebrating the big day with you this weekend!
